Two Legged Dog and Jellybean Joeys.

Can you believe the size of this, incredible isn't it. Thats a full grown red kangaroo above it. You kind of know it when you hit one of these while driving. I know the day I hit a couple I really felt like getting out, kicking it, and making kangaroo tail soup out of it. It was dead already though, and so was my car.

The sad part about it is that over 3.6 million of them are killed each year. Shot.

Joeys are the size of a jellybean when born, they are pink, blind, and hairless. (wow, thats scarey kind of sounds a bit like me at the moment, not the jellybean part).

Why don't joeys fly out of mum's pouch when she's hopping? The female kangaroo can control the muscles that control the size of her pouch and the size of the opening. She can contract the muscles, pulling the pouch tight against the body. If she wants to clean her pouch and wants the joey out, she can also relax the opening allowing the joey to fall out.
Kangaroos weigh less than 2 grams when they are born.
The tiny baby, called a joey, climbs up its mother's belly and into her pouch. The mother can't touch it because it is so tiny. She licks a path in her fur for it to travel along. Inside the pouch it grabs onto one of four teats and remains attached to it for about nine months.

I read on to some more information on them. Its really quite amazing. They can actually postpone their pregnancy if situations aren't favourable.
The other photo is of Faith, the only canine known to walk upright. Isn't she beautiful.
I'm actually starting to wonder about my puppy, she seems to be doing a bit of this lately herself, especially when there's food around. She follows me on TWO legs out of the kitchen.
