ART.

Do you love art? I do, I love doing it, (not that I'm an artist, far from it.) I love looking at other peoples art. I really do. I have tried to find art blogs on blogger but not having much luck as yet. Do you do art? If so maybe you will leave the name of your site on here for me to have a look at it. I really would appreciate it. Any kind, drawing, painting, sketches, charcoal, anything.

Happiness=an unlimited supply of art goods. Saw this photo on left and thought would pop it on for the struggling artists of the world

I used to love going around to the smaller galleries through out the country side, and the little tea shops that also promoted it in their store for the local artists. What a joy that used to be, just sitting there having something to drink and munching out, and looking at the different works of art on the walls. I used to quite often ponder the thought of running such a shop, but wasn't destined to be. Now I console myself with trying to have a vegie garden. I'm not the worlds best gardener, but certainly keep trying to get things to grow. And definately have more luck with vegies than I do with flowers. Plus you can eat your results.

When I lived in the city there used to be an aboriginal guy called Johnny, his art was so beautiful, not the traditional dot paintings, but incredible scenes of nature as seen through his eyes. Another man in there also, could start a painting, and about 2 hours later it was finished, the whole thing. They were incredible paintings, (oils,) of beach and country scenes. Most of his work he didn't sell, but would donate to the charity shop there, so they could sell them. When he did sell them, it was usually just to cover the cost of the paints and canvas. Why he never tried to have exhibitions I don't know. I often wonder how many incredibly gifted back yard artists there are around. Must be so many like him, with that kind of talent who never get recognised or their work shown anywhere. Quite often its money and confidence holding them back. Its a bloody shame, really is.
