With over 180 deaths, over 1800 homes gone, and 7500 people homeless, I don't think he deserves anything fair. Whole townships just gone, peoples lives turned upside down, millions of animals dead and hurt, maimed. I think he's very lucky he's in custody and not out there for the people. How can a piece of shit like this be entitled to a fair trial if he really did this? The horrific thing is, is that there are more like him around. Lighting fires just for the kicks. Even after seeing the total devastation it has done, even more were lit. What is wrong with these people, have they really got nothing up top? "Mass Murderers", what a perfect way to descibe them. What do you think of someone who has just been responsible for so many deaths. The sheer terror the animals must have felt also. I've followed this all week, like every other Australian, and people worldwide, we were very lucky that weekend, just finishing a severe heatwave, and the winds that popped up to help cool the place down, were very strong, if we'd had fires here it would have probably been the same situation. We were spared. My heart goes out to Victoria.
The incredible generosity that has been shown by so many people, in not only helping their fellow Australian, but the animals as well, has been heart warming. The stories coming out of the different acts of heroism, and the people working round the clock to help contain the bushfires, incredible people one and all. Australia is very proud of you.
